The Tiendas de la Salud (TISA) program is a micro-pharmacy franchise program that works to improve health by expanding access to essential medicines in rural communities. TISA is a network of health stores that are owned and operated by community residents, which sell high quality, generic essential medicines and basic health products that were previously lacking in these areas. Innovation grant funding was used by Mercy Corps to develop, pilot and scale the business model.
